A. Yes. In addition to ongoing childcare, we also offer one-time and occasional bookings. We'll be happy to help you find the option that best suits your family's needs.

A. Yes. For first-time bookings, we recommend starting with a trial of approximately two hours so you can see how the nanny interacts with your child and becomes familiar with your family’s routine.

This gives you the opportunity to observe the care provided and feel confident when deciding whether to continue with future bookings.

A. Yes. If you are looking for full-time or ongoing nanny support, we offer a placement service.

We take the time to understand your family's needs and your child's situation before introducing carefully selected nanny candidates. Our placement package includes a trial arrangement, matching support, and up to two weeks of follow-up support after the nanny's start date.

If you decide to continue employing the nanny after the placement, the nanny will be directly employed by your family in accordance with the Employment Standards Act of Ontario.

A. We primarily serve families throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Services may also be available in areas such as Markham, Richmond Hill, Oshawa, and Mississauga, depending on whether a nanny is available and able to commute to your location.

Additional transportation fees may apply in some areas.

A. We recommend booking as far in advance as possible.

We will do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, but availability cannot be guaranteed and will depend on each nanny’s schedule.

A. Yes. Consultations and communication are available in Japanese.

Japanese-speaking childcare and support are also available for families who prefer care in Japanese.

Some of our nannies also have experience teaching Japanese to children, and we may be able to introduce a suitable nanny based on your family’s needs.

A. At KOKORO Smile Nannies, we register nannies only after reviewing their childcare and educational experience, qualifications, approach to working with children, personality, and sense of responsibility.

All nannies are required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check and valid CPR-C/First Aid certification. We place a strong emphasis on safety and reliability so families can use our services with confidence.

A. KOKORO Smile Nannies offers a membership program.

As a member, you'll be able to browse detailed nanny profiles and submit booking requests to the nanny of your choice. Each profile includes information such as the nanny's experience, qualifications, hourly rate, and availability.

Nanny fees are paid securely through our platform at the time of booking.

We also offer one-time bookings for families who prefer not to join the membership program and only need childcare occasionally.

A. A nanny's primary responsibility is to provide safe, high-quality care for your child. At KOKORO Smile Nannies, we also value supporting the entire family through our Family Support approach.

In addition to childcare, nannies may assist with light household tasks related to your child, such as tidying up, meal preparation and cleanup, washing dishes, and laundry, depending on your family's needs.

The scope of support may vary depending on the nanny and the circumstances on the day of service. Please discuss your requests with us in advance.

A. Availability for sick care varies depending on the nanny.

Whether sick care can be provided depends on your child's condition, symptoms, the nanny's availability, and safety considerations. An additional fee may apply for sick care services.

If your child or anyone in your household is unwell, please provide details of the symptoms and condition before submitting your booking request.

A. As a general rule, annual memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase and cannot be paused, refunded, or extended.

If you are experiencing unavoidable circumstances, please contact KOKORO Smile Nannies to discuss your situation.

A. Yes, we have a cancellation policy. If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled start time after your booking has been confirmed, a cancellation fee will apply.

For bookings of less than three hours, the full booking fee will be charged. For bookings of three hours or longer, a cancellation fee of up to three hours will apply.
